Dolphin Watching and Jeep Tour
A full-day programme in the heart of the Arrábida Natural Park, combining a dolphin-watching boat tour with a jeep tour.
The day begins with a dolphin-watching boat trip, with the possibility of visiting the caves and pristine beaches of Arrábida, particularly Ribeira do Cavalo Beach.
Afterwards, you will embark on a jeep tour through the heart of the Arrábida Mountains, with stops at several viewpoints, including Sesimbra Castle, Alto do Jaspe, which offers unique views of Serra do Risco, the Roman Road, Portinho da Arrábida, Praia da Figueirinha, the Arrábida Convent, and the North and South viewpoints, offering views over Lisbon and the Tagus Estuary, as well as the beaches of Tróia and Arrábida.
The programme may start in Lisbon.
BOAT TRIPS FOR DOLPHIN WHATCING
We embark from the Sesimbra marina and set off in search of dolphins that may be near or some distance from the coast.
If it takes us up to 2 hours to find the dolphins, we still have time for a short boat trip along the Arrábida coast, passing by beaches and caves.
If there is still time left, we can make a stop near the coast for possible snorkeling.
The route depends on the location of the dolphins and also on the duration, averaging 3 hours.
The chance of finding the dolphins is greater than 95%.
Duration: 2 to 4 hours (depends on how long it takes to find the dolphins).
Average duration is 3 hours.
Snorkeling: Stop at sheltered and strategic locations for snorkeling in calm, crystal-clear waters. Optional.
